Summer snowkite beginner courses 2007
Sorry - This course is now closed!
19th to 24th July & 26th to 31st July 2007 at Jondal Hardanger in Norway.
The course will take you from the point of how to set-up and fly your power kite through to cruising around on the snow. During the course you will cover all you need to know from handling the kites, equipment and location safety, weather, wind and kiting conditions, starting to ride, riding cross and upwind how to stop and the all important emergency safety procedures.
The course will also give you an introduction in expedition kiting and if the wetter allows it, we will make a short expedition across the glacier in the end of the course.
The course will take place within the destination that National Geographic ranked as the world number 1, the Norwegian fjords. The plateau- glacier above the green fjords make some incredible picturesque surroundings for the course.

Course leader
Niklas Norman has been kite skiing since the sport started to develop in Norway, 10 years ago.
In 2005 he led a record breaking fast kite-expedition crossing the Greenland ice-cap lengthwise. (www.vindkraftekspedisjonen.com)
The two last winters he has run weekend kite courses at Finse Hotel in Norway and the summer 2006 he led a course at Folgefonna with the Paracademy for the Royal Navy Polar Quest Team.
Wind garauntee
There are almost no days without wind at the glacier, but if it should happen that there was no wind during a course day, we will provide free access to the nearby summer ski resort for that day.
